PDN – On Friday, September 27, Utrecht University will host the conference “Reason and Religion in Iran: 1925-2025.”
Scholars will explore the complex relationship between reason and religion in Iran (Persia) over the past century. “This relationship is often oversimplified as a clash between rational modernity and secularism versus reactionary, irrational religious thought, but it is far more nuanced than the popular image suggests,” the organizers stated in their press release.
