Ruzbihan; 16th-century Persian Quran Among the Finest Ever Produced

The 16th-century Persian Quran RUZBIHAN is considered one of the finest ever produced.

Ruzbihan was one of the greatest calligraphers of Persia in his time.
His masterpiece is now kept at the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin.
The 600-page illustrated catalogue entitled “LAPIS & GOLD” is available on Bol.com

ruzbehaniWhen Chester Beatty Library displayed Ruzbihan's Quran in 2016 it attracted more than 100,000 visitors.
The manuscripts which is produced in the city of Shiraz, in south central Persia, is believed to be a gift from the Persian emperor Shah Tahmasp to his Ottoman counterpart Sultan Selim II.
