On 2 December 2015, HRH Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands will present the Principal Prince Claus Award to Iranian photographer Newsha Tavakolian.
According to the press release by “Prince Claus Fund”, Newsha Tavakolian is a self-taught photographer who combines photojournalism and art to offer new insights into the lived experience of people in Iran and the wider Middle East region. The aesthetic and intellectual qualities of Tavakolian’s stills, videos, installations and photobooks question stereotypes and inspire young photographers across the Middle East.
The Prince Claus Fund honours 10 additional artists and cultural role models for their pioneering work in culture and development. The independent international members of the Prince Claus Awards Committee select the Prince Claus Laureates. All 2015 Laureates will receive their Award at a ceremony held in the presence of members of the Dutch Royal Family at the Royal Palace Amsterdam on 2 December. The Prince Claus Fund Gallery in Amsterdamwill exhibit works by Principal Laureate Newsha Tavakolian 27 November 2015 – 4 March 2016.

عکاس ایرانی برنده جایزه پرس کلاوس در هلند شد
نیوشا توکلیان، عکاس ایرانی، برنده جایزه پرنس کلاوس در هلند شد. به گزارش شبکه ایرانیان هلند، بنیاد پرنس کلاوس در بیانیه‌ای اعلام کرده که این جایزه در روز دوم دسامبر در برنامه‌ای با حضور خانواده سلطنتی هلند به وی اهدا خواهد شد. ا
در این بیانیه همچنین آمده که آثار نیوشا توکلیان، نگرش‌های از پیش تعیین شده نسبت به مسایل را چالش کشیده و الهام بخش بسیاری از هنرمندان جوان در خاورمیانه بوده است.ا
نیوشا توکلیان، متولد ۱۹۸۱ مقیم تهران است.ا
دیگر برندگان جایزه پرنس کلاوس در سال ۲۰۱۵ هنرمندانی از عراق، زیمباوه، نیجریه، سوریه، کامرون، آرژانتین چین، قزاقستان، آلبانی و مصر هستند.ا
