Persians in Holland Celebrated “Red Wednesday” (Chaharshanbeh-Souri); March 2012

PDN – Thousands of Persians (Iranians) across The Netherlands celebrated the ancient celebration of “Red Wednesday” (Chaharshanbeh-Souri) on March 13th.

This celebration which has roots in ancient Persia takes place is the last Wednesday of the Persian Year and right before Nowruz (Persian New Year).

The below photo has been taken in Delft in March 13th, 2012; where hundreds of Dutch-Persians were gathered to celebrated “Chaharshanbeh-Soori”.
